Gary Comerford 15 Premier
Mallow United 2 Springfield Ramblers 5
A fantastic result puts Ramblers back into the league title race. After going a goal down in the tenth minute it took real courage to get back into the game. Conor Hughes lead by example with his tackling, closing down and basically just hard honest work resulting in all the other lads putting in a great shift.
Captain Adam O’Sullivan put in his best performance of the season and was helped by both full backs Jeffrey McCarthy and Niall Abbott. The two wingers Simon Doyle and Cian Darcy worked extremely hard up and down the pitch. The goals were scored by Sully, Darcy, an own goal and Hoggy scored two great goals resulting in a five goals to two win. Overall it was a great team performance.

Umbro 12 Premier
Corinthian Boys 1 Springfield Ramblers 1
The U12s were very unlucky not to get all three points from what was a very close and tough encounter today. After soaking up some early pressure from Corinthians we were unlucky to concede from a corner where the home side took advantage of their physical presence to take the lead in the twenty eighth minute.
Five mins later Cian O’Rourke bravely stuck his head in front of the ball twice to prevent a certain second goal for Corinthians. He received a bloody nose and a split lip for his bravery and managed to play on after receiving treatment until half time where he reluctantly had to give in to his injuries and was replaced by Colin Lane.

Right from the start of the second half Springfield Ramblers started to dominate and dictate the pace of this game. It was only a matter of time until the equalizer came. This came ten minutes into the second half from a Tom Gill shot that the Corinthians keeper misjudged and the sides were level. With the Corinthians team feeling the pressure Eoin Kelly came off the bench to replace Cian Walker and his pace caused all sorts of problems for the home defence.

With five minutes to go Fionn Duggan was brought on to freshen things up in the middle of the park where we had begun to tire after all the hard work. Overall this was a great team performance with everyone contributing and outstanding performances from Morgan Dillon Hilton, Ciaran Collins & Ciaran Griffin

Umbro 12 Division 1
Springfield Ramblers A 3 Avondale United 5

11 Group 2
Avondale United v Springfield Ramblers A
Springfield Ramblers played away to Avondale today and started very well with a goal after ten minutes, their defence failed to clear and our striker David Hughes hit from the eighteen yard box off the post and in off the keeper. Ramblers passed around the pitch right through the first half but near the end gave away a corner that fell to an unmarked player to tap in. We gave away two soft goals in the second half as well but played very well from start to finish .There were great displays from Tom Ring, Eoghan Kidney and Sam Fashola and everyone worked as a team for each other all through the game.

Umbro 14 Division 1
Springfield Ramblers 2 Douglas Hall 1
Springfield Ramblers kept up their push for promotion by beating table toppers Douglas Hall 2-1 in a very tense and hard fought game on Sunday morning. Against the run of play sloppy defending allowed Douglas to take the lead but the character of this team then shone through as we stormed back to level from Man of the Match Robert O’Connor and then a neat finish from George Keating put us 2-1 in front. Despite an aerial bombardment in the last few minutes Springers held on for a great win. This was another great team effort with Eoin De Barra at the top of his game.
