Springfield Ramblers 5 Corinthians Boys 0
Springfield Ramblers U15s finished their league campaign on a high last Wednesday night, when they beat last year’s champions Corinthians Boys by a score line of five goals to nil. Rambler’s defence of D. Coffey, S. Hilliard, A. O’Sullivan, C. Carroll and N. Abbott were excellent all night and all season with some outstanding defending. The midfield three of C. Hughes, C. Fleming and in particular B. Chandler were superb in the tackle and splendid in their passing. The front three of C. Darcy, C. Ahern and A. Horgan ran the Corinthians defence a merry dance all night. Horgan’s finishing was first class as it was all season.
S. Doyle, J. McCarthy, C. Roche and S.O. Reilly all came on and they all played their part in a memorable win. Goals were scored by Adam O’Sullivan, Sean O’Reilly and a hat-trick from Adam Horgan. This was a fantastic season for the lads, finishing third in the league and winning the local cup in Turners Cross last week. Well done all.

Awards Night Change of Date
Due to the fact that some of our teams are involved in important games at the end of the season the annual Player Of The Year Awards ceremony has been put back to Friday 7th June in the Commodore Hotel at 7 pm. The parents of all players are cordially invited to this event where the players from each team are rewarded in three categories for their efforts during the season. This is also an opportunity for the parents to catch up on some club news.
