‘Summer Swing’ Kicks-Off on Sunday 3rd May

linerThe first of the “Cobh Summer Swing” events kicks off in Cobh promenade on the 3rd of May 2015. It inaugurates the start of the Cruise Liner Season in Cobh.

All visitors can sit in the sun and enjoy the view of Le Boréal, a luxury cruise liner, the interior of which was designed by Jean-Philippe Nuel.

There is something to do for all ages with entertainment all day from 11.30 until 5.30 – live music with local musicians Karl and Sean Long at midday and Ben Hurley in the afternoon. For the little ones – kiddies carousel and face-painting and for grown-ups a Festival market with many stalls, selling variety of goods: hand made jewellery, wooden craft, hand knitted clothes, Polish amber jewellery, hand painted slate pictures and also tasty treats: locally made ice-cream, sweet and savoury crepes, Arabic cuisine, gourmet pizza and hot dogs, barista coffee and loads more.

Cobh Summer Swing is run on a voluntary basis by Tania and Michael Bourke of Truly Scrumptious Caterer and Peter KidneyThis is the first event out of eight this year and couldn’t be organised without help for our sponsors:
