Rumour spread like wildfire (forgive the pun), on social networking site Facebook and via phone this evening that one of our newest food outlets, Supermacs, was on fire. Cobh Edition attended shortly after being notified, to witness the Fire Service withdrawl and nothing more to the incident.
A Supermacs official told Cobh Edition that a ‘steamer in the kitchen had set off the alarm’ and that was the reason for the Fire Service attending. We also asked about an alleged arrest and were told that it was related to an incident near the monument.
The town can relax once again!!!!!
