Thanks to the 13 volunteers who met on Saturday morning and did a fantastic job sweeping up the huge volume of leaves, branches and silt on the High Road,Spy Hill and Bishops Road after the incredibly story weather last week.Bottles and cans were gathered from the Burma steps on Saturday and Sunday mornings. The approach roads were kept clean through out the week by volunteers.Cobh is looking very bright and colourful now that nearly all the flowerbeds are planted, people have hung out their hanging baskets and window boxes are plentiful throughout the town.Visitor numbers are increasing as we advance through the summer so please be vigilant and bin your litter and cigarette butts so we can keep Cobh tidy.
Join us on Saturday mornings at 10am and Tuesday evenings at 6.30pm by the playground on the Five Foot Way if you would like to help.
