Friends of Cobh Hospital will run the Annual Charity Swim in aid of Cobh Hospital on Christmas Day at Cuskinny, Cobh, starting at 11.30am – This event, now in its 29th year goes from strength to strength each and every year but with low temperatures expected, it may not be an event for the faint-hearted. In 2010 the 35 swimmers took to the water when it was a lowly -7º C, with temperatures in more recent years slight better, but of course new swimmers are welcome to join the Merry Band and craic on the morning.
