A group of students from Carrignafoy Community College presented a cheque for €500 to Ms. Clair Butler in aid of Fighting Blindness Ireland. Clair is a student in the Childcare course at the college.
“Finding cures for blindness will be one of the great human achievements of history and here in Ireland we’re at the forefront of the race. Most of the research funded by Fighting Blindness is at the cutting edge of science and cures for some conditions are in sight. The work of Fighting Blindness brings hope to millions of people living with sight loss. Around 65,000 children and adults in Ireland, and 40 million people worldwide, have degenerative eye conditions”
