Springfield A Team remain unbeaten in the Premier A Division after a comfortable 2-0 win away to Kilreen at the weekend with goals from Sane McDermott and Connie Murphy. The B side were at home to Corkbeg and found themselves on top for most of the game but unfortunately couldn’t capitalize on their chances in a game that ended in a 1-1 draw after Springers took the lead through an impressive Johnny Lamb free kick. Springfield piled on the pressure and had plenty of chances to secure the win after the visitors hit back through a free kick of their own.
Next Sunday morning sees the Seniors at home to old rivals Castleview in the league, while the B side travel to play Wilton in what promises to be an entertaining top of the table clash on the Sunday morning.
