CALLING ALL COMMUNITY AND VOLUNTARY GROUPS! WORK PLACEMENT SCHEME INFORMATION EVENING!
Does your Community or Voluntary Group need additional human resources particularly in the current environment? Do you need more people working with you but do not have the funding to organise same? We think we have the solution for you……..
The Tús initiative is a community work placement scheme providing short-term working opportunities for unemployed people. The work opportunities are to benefit the community and are to be provided by community and voluntary organisations in both urban and rural areas. The Tús initiative is managed by local development companies and Údarás na Gaeltachta for the Department of Social Protection, which has overall responsibility for the scheme.
SECAD is the implementing body in the South and East Cork area for the Tus Initiative and is hosting an information evening at the Carrigaline Court Hotel on Thursday 10th November for any Community and Voluntary Groups that are interested in the programme and providing working opportunities for people, there is no cost involved to the Community and Voluntary Groups.
