The elected members and staff members of Cobh Town Council with participate in the Breaking The Silence SAFE Talk workshop this evening at the Convent of Mercy at 7pm. At the Breaking the Silence suicide awareness event in the Sirius Centre on 10 September last Mayor Jim Quinlan stated that Cobh Town Council were committed to showing leadership in the area of suicide awareness and hugely valued the tremendous work being done by local suicide awareness group, Breaking the Silence.
“Breaking the Silence is a local voluntary group engaged in ground-breaking work in the area of suicide prevention and awareness and this is something of which the people of Cobh should be very proud”.
