Parade Theme – “The Cove of ‘Cork’ 1912 – 2012”
The 2012 Cobh St. Patrick´s Day Parade will take place on Saturday March 17th starting on the Low Road between Cobh Railway station and Whitepoint at 3.30 pm. It is being organised by See You in Cobh, Cobh Tourism and Cobh Tidy Towns.
In this the Titanic centenary year, all participants in the parade and the General Public coming to view the Parade are invited to embrace the theme “The Cove of Cork 1912 – 2012”. Consider reflecting life in Cobh and Cork Harbour any time in the past 100 years ago by dressing up and decorating Floats for the occasion and joining in the fun! To encourage maximum participation there will once again be no entry fee and no financial contribution is being sought from the business community. Participation is open to Individuals, Groups, Associations, Companies, Businesses and Sporting Clubs from all around Cork Harbour and we encourage as many as possible to enter this year´s Parade and help build on the success of last year. If you would like to utilise a Lorry for your Float, please contact us as we may be able to assist you. Entry forms are available now by emailing hendrickverwey@gmail.com or phoning Hendrick Verwey on 087 2593850.
