On Monday 10th September Cobh was awarded a Silver Medal in the National Tidy Towns Awards in category G- towns with a population between 10,001 and 15,000 people. Cobh Tidy Towns is absolutely delighted with this wonderful result and move from Bronze in 2011 to Silver for 2012.Our points increased by 6 from 286 to 292.None of this would have been possible without the dedication, vision and hard work of our many volunteers as well as support from Cobh Town Council, local businesses,Cobh schools, youth groups and the people of Cobh who have all contributed to making Cobh an even better place to live in ,work in and visit. In the words of the adjudicator “Cobh did you proud today.Cobh can fulfill on your most ambitious aspirations”.
Thank you to everybody who played a part in our Silver Success.
