County League Champions is the title our Juniors have earned for themselves. In Castle Rd yesterday our girls got into their stride early on tacking on a couple of points from the whistle followed by a well deserved goal which turned out to be the crucial difference at the half time whistle.1.04 to 0.04. On the restart our girls were pinned down in their own half for 20 minutes, although the gritty defending was as evident in he second half as the first, we were just not allowed to play wit the same fluency as we did in the first half,.Only 5 minutes remained and the scores were level…..a very nervy ending indeed…our girls dug deep to find that last winning push and knocked over two points to take the cup to huge celebrations on ascoreline of Cobh 1.07 to Ballinora 0.08. Well done to all involved. Great Achievement
Or Mnors play their own county final next week V’s Carrigtohill….date and venue tba. Best of luck girls
