A man was today sentenced to 18 months in prison for 16 counts of theft from cars in Cobh. Cobh’s Detective Garda Bill Dillane secured the conviction at Mallow District Court earlier today when Graham Kavanagh, originally from Dublin pleaded guilty to all 16 charges.
Kavanagh acknowledged that he had fallen back into drug abuse, and used the proceeds of his ill-gotten gains to feed his habit. Before being led away, Mr Kavanagh apologised to the Court and to the people of Cobh for his wrongdoings.
