Company Culture and Values Top the Agenda at Catalyst Cobh Summer Meeting

Members of Catalyst Cobh, a networking group for women in business in the East Cork Area, where joined by Colette Twomey, CEO and Co-Founder of the Clonakilty Blackpudding Co. at the group’s June Networking Event in the Robin Hill Sanctuary, Cobh on Tuesday, 17th June.
Sharing with the group the story of how Clonakilty Blackpudding Co. grew from a single butchers shop to one of the best known brands in the Irish food business, Colette encouraged all of the business owners at the meeting to core values and developing a culture that fits with their business, whether they employ 2 or 200 staff. She also spoke about striving to find a work/life balance and learning to speak the language of business in her early days as CEO.
Clonkailty Blackpudding Co. currently supplies restaurants and shops throughout Ireland and growing the company’s export business in the UK, North America, Asia and Australia. Colette is also the current Mayor of
Clonakilty.

Catalyst Cobh is a branch of the Catalyst initiative established in association with SECAD in 2011. The purpose of the group is to help and support businesswomen from all professions and backgrounds. Catalyst provides information, tools, networking opportunities and advice to women who are starting out or want to grow their business.
