The Cobh Age Friendly Committee and Great Island Community Forum are excited to tell you about the new ‘Cobh Friday Friendly Café’ for people with Demetria, Alzheimer’s and Memory loss, and their Carers. The pop up café which will take place on the last Friday of every month in the Great Island Community Centre will be free to attend and run by volunteers. People can relax and enjoy a cup of tea, some cake and a chat with our volunteers and other carers. It will be a supportive, safe environment.
We wish to invite anyone living with Alzheimer’s, Memory loss and other Dementia’s and their Carer’s, family or friends. We are also seeking much-needed volunteers to help out with the café, either on the day, or with baking. If you would like to get involved please contact Sharon on 0833982587 or Stephanie on 086041516.
The first Cobh Friday Friendly Café will be held on August 31st from 11am- 1pm at the Great Island Community Centre on Top of the Hill.
