Councillor Padraig O’Sullivan is delighted to be contending to keep his seat on Cork County Council following a successful convention for the Little Island native.
“The residents and businesses Cobh LEA deserve and demand strong representation at Cork County Council, and that’s what I fully intend to continue to deliver for them. Campaigning on essential issues such as improving infrastructure, for example high speed broadband services in Cobh, is my top priority.”
Padraig O’Sullivan topped the poll in the 2014 local elections with more than 2500 first preference votes. He’ll be keen for a repeat performance this May.
It’s going to be a busy season for the Fianna Fail candidate has also been selected to contest the next General Election in the Cork East constituency. The teacher and his wife Bernie are expecting their first baby in early February.
“It’s going to be an incredibly busy challenging and exciting few months. They say many hands make light work, and thankfully both Bernie and I are fortunate to have a strong support system of family and friends, ready and waiting to put their shoulders to the wheel.”
