Our iconic Cathedral is one of the town’s foremost tourist attractions and is open every day of the year from early ’till late. Its stained glass, stone carving, main altar, mosaics and pipe organ are all magnificent. The history of the building of the Cathedral and the stories associated with it will be brought to life later this year when regular guided tours will commence.
The Parish, Carillonneur Adrian Gebruers and Cobh Tourism have agreed a framework that will see volunteer guides trained and a DVD on the Carillon produced which will become an integral part of the tour programme. The funds raised will go towards the Cathedral’s continuing restoration.
If you would like to become a trained Cathedral Tour Guide please contact us by email or phone Hendrick Verwey on 087 2593850.
