WORLD Champion Katie Taylor is top the bill at the Rochestown Park Hotel in Cork tonight when a Garda Síochána and Rylane Boxing Club selection host the NYPDat a dinner show. It will be Taylor’s first appearance in Ireland after the defence of her wor lightweight title in Barbados while the NYPD will be boxing in Cork for the third time.
The two groups have met twice before at the hotel and the Gardaí have also travelled to New York for sell-out charity shows – the most recent coming in March. Cobh Edition was invited to meet the groups as they dined at the Crows Nest, Cobh on Friday evening and all involved were looking forward to a great evening of entertainment tonight.
