Ballymore Cycling Club Race Day – Public Notice

ballymorecyclingclubBallymore Cycling Club would like to inform the residences of Cobh of the cycle race that will take place on Sunday 8th of June in and around the Ballymore area. Some traffic restrictions will be in place in the areas mentioned below.

The races will be held between 11.20am and 4.30pm. As you can appreciate, safety is our priority including all members of the public along with the cyclists and all involved with the race.

We would be grateful for your assistance in facilitating this event & ask residents on the route to be very vigilant. We would also appreciate if you are driving on the route that you follow in the same direction as the race & follow the marshal’s instructions on the day.

The underage races will start at 11.20am using a 3.2km route. Three separate races will take place one after another covering 2 laps, 5 laps & 8 laps.

This race will run in a clock wise direction. (Ballymore, Corbally, Glenmore, Valley road, & finishing at the High Chaparral Bar) These racing will be finished before 1.30pm

The senior race will start at 1.30pm using a longer 10km route. Two separate races will take place on the route at the same time covering 8 laps & 5 laps.

This race will run in an anti clock wise direction. ( Ballymore, Ballydulea, Fanick, Ballynacrusha, Lissanisky, Cow Cross, Tay Road, Cusskinny. Valley Road, Glenmore, Corbally & onto Ballymore) This racing will be finished by 4.30pm

A great day is expected & we encourage people to come out to support the cyclists on the day.
