Cobh Garda District Soccer Blitz 2011
The annual Cobh Garda District Soccer Blitz in association with local soccer clubs will take place on the 5th, 6th and 7th August at the community college field, Carrignafoy. The running order for the event will be as follows: U10,U14 Friday 5th Aug@1pm, U8, U12 and U16 Saturday 6th Aug@11am and U18 Sunday 7th Aug@11am. Team forms are currently available from Cobh Garda Station or any member of the organising committee. The blitz is open to boys and girls. Individuals who do not have a team should turn up on the day and they will be allocated a team.
Players should bring footwear for both grass and astro turf in the event of poor weather conditions. The age group that you played in the season just gone qualifies you to play in that same age group for the blitz.
The rules of the blitz are on the team forms and should be read by all players and managers prior to the event. I would encourage as many parents as possible to attend over the weekend and support the children and ensure that they have adequate refreshments with them.
