Two great wins for the Club last weekend both away to UCC. Div 3 started off with a fine 3-0 and they took the game to the college girls from the start. Katie Murphy scored first when she received a ball from the right wing to score from close range. Noelle Hally made it 2-0 nil when she took a ball from defence and after a lovely run hit a fine shot past the advancing goalie. Cobh put the match beyond doubt when again Katie Murphy slotted home from close range.
Div 6 had an even bigger win when they took the points on a 5-0 score line. Player of the game Chelsea Crone was first to score on 7 mins when she hit a fine ball to the net from the edge of the circle. 5 mins later Tara Mansworth sent up a lovely ball from a free which Lisa Harris collected in the circle and pushed past the goalie to score a fine goal. With about ten mins remaining of the first half pressure from Cobh saw Laura Forest finish from close range. The second half saw Cobh keep up the pressure and, half way through, a ball from Lauren Kavanagh came to Claire Stack whose shot found the net off the goalie. Claire Stack made it 5-0 when, after a fine run by Kate Morgan, she made no mistake with her shot.
