Cobh Tidy Towns News
Necessity the mother of invention- Helen didn’t have her car today but she still managed to join us with some of her gear attached to her bike! Well done Helen. 9 volunteers were out this morning. Litter was picked from East Hill ,Harbour Row and along through town. The Preacher House steps were swept , the quay by the Well House was swept and the last section of the High Road close to town was swept. Cigarette butts were picked from the footpaths from Westbourne Place, the 2 squares and along West Beach. Cigarette butts are litter. Please place them in a bin.
Thanks to Connie Doolans pub for sweeping outside every night after closing. There wasn’t a single butt to be found there. Thank you also to the gentleman who kindly paid for tea and scones in Taste this morning for two of our volunteers as a thank you for their efforts. It was a lovely surprise for the girls when they went to pay! See you next Saturday at 10am on the Five Foot Way.
