Cobh Tidy Towns News
Last Saturday 9 volunteers showed up to work with Cobh Tidy Towns. We swept and cleared months of silt and leaves from the roadside and footpaths on then Rushbrooke approach to Cobh. 12 bags of marine debris was cleaned from under the boats and trailers by Kennedy pier. 2 bags of cans and bottles were picked from the Burma steps. We also swept the steps from top to bottom as there was a shocking amount of smashed glass littering the steps.
An ongoing problem in this area which is a hazard and an unnecessary eyesore. Thanks to the generosity of Harbour Browns for inviting us in for freshly baked scones and coffee after our busy morning.
