On Saturday Cobh Tidy Towns volunteers helped East Hill Residents Association undo some of the vandalism casued last weekend at the lookout at the top of East Hill.Laundry Hill was swept and litter was gathered here too.The footpaths on the Lower Road were swept.
Four Tidy Towns volunteers went on a Graffiti removal Training Course sponsored by Cork County Council and received a supply of chemicals.Hopefully we can reduce the impact of the horrendous graffiti vandalism which impacts negatively on the good work done in our town. Three new volunteers started to clear the growth that is covering the stone walls on the roadside at Carrigaloe.Thank you for your contribution. Another new volunteer Michelle and her 5 year old son also came out yesterday. Thanks to everybody who came out this week.If you have time to spare please join us on Mondays at 11am at the Ballynoe Inn or Saturdays at 10am by the Five Foot Way. Every little helps!
