Cobh Tidy Towns Notes 24th March

Published

on

18 volunteers came out this morning to do a variety of jobs around Cobh.5 people worked out in the old graveyard. Some volunteers who attended the recent Graffiti removal course in Ballincollig used new materials to easily remove the damage done at Whitepoint. The dead leaves at the base of the Phormiums at the Playground were removed.

Other volunteers prepared the old railings at Harbour View for painting. Unfortunately one of our lovely painted Picnic Benches at Carrigaloe was driven into last night. It will cost €300 to replace – two boards are missing so it does not appear to be an accident and part of the grill of the Audi car used to cause the damage is in the possession of the Gardai. May Hill and her son Mark painted over the graffiti on the gable of the white cottage in Whitepoint and also repainted the low white wall. May also regularily picks litter from the beach between Whitepoint and Blackpoint.

Please take a look at your diary for the 7th and 8th April and take some time to join us on our Spring Clean with Dirty Ol Towns. Your town needs you!
