The Cobh and Harbour Chamber is delighted to announce that following an inspection by Fáilte Ireland the Cobh Tourist Information Office based in the Sirius Arts Centre is now an approved Fáilte Ireland Visitor Information Point. The office passed the inspection with “flying colours” and that was in no small part due to the professionalism and efficiency of the staff.
The Tourist Information Office is run by the Cobh and Harbour Chamber with the support of FAS and is open seven days a week twelve months of the year.
Officiating at the re-branding of the office Mayor of Cobh, Cllr. Finbarr O’Driscoll, stated “This official recognition helps Cobh, our native town, to be put more prominently on the map, gives it an increased sense of identity and thus raises people’s awareness of all that Cobh has to offer. Hearty congratulations to all those who were instrumental in making this happen”.
Michael Martin President of the Cobh and Harbour Chamber expressed his delight at the achievement of the Cobh Tourist Information Office. “Cobh Tourist Information Office has been operating for many years and has always offered the visitor efficient and professional service and it is fitting that this is now recognised by Fáilte Ireland. I would like to congratulate Kathleen Geary and her wonderful staff on a job well done”.
