The triathlon season is now in full swing with events taking place throughout the country and members of Cobh Tri Club are travelling near and far to compete in Triathlons, Open Water Swims, Road Races and Cycling Sportivs.
The August weekend saw Bill Kelleher, Ann Kelleher, Tina Hayes and Frances Buckley travel to Loughrea in Galway to take place in the Sprint Triathlon. All completed the fast course in great times.
The previous weekend saw members stay localling travelling to Kinsale to take part in the aptly named King of the Hill Triathlon hosted by Cork Triathlon Club. Podium finishes were achieved by both Pat Bruton and Jess Bruton in their age categories in a very competitive field.
Earlier in July members took part in the annual Lee Swim when over 500 swimmers completed the 2km course. Members also completed races in Wicklow and Ennis.
