I study in a Business Academy in Jablonec with the intention of studying Tourism in my future career. This Year I got a chance to travel to Ireland for practical training thanks to the Leonardo da Vinci Programme.
Myselfand another 7 students arrived in Cork on 2nd of June 2010 and we started to work on 8th of June. Each of us works on different places in Cork and Cobh. I had my practical training with the Resources.ie Group in Cobh. It is a company mainly focused on Health & Safety Management, Human Resources Management, and Training & Development. My role involved marketing administration and business promotion.
I was glad that I could do helpful work for them and I am satisfied, because I think that I have gained a lot of experience working abroad, that I improved my English and met a lot of new and interesting people.
In my free time I travelled as much as possible. I visited a lot of popular places such as Fota Wildlife Park and Blarney Castle and they were so beautiful and of course the town of Cobh is very beautiful!
I have had a wonderful time in Cobh and in Ireland thanks to the Leonardo da Vinci Programme and my host family & host company!

As part of our third year study we have to work in a company for work experience for 3 weeks. Our school takes part in the Leonardo da Vinci which allows students to travel abroad for work experience. I was chosen to visit Ireland and work there for one month. We prepared for it for the whole year. We had special lessons in English and seminars about Ireland.
I’m stayed in Cobh and working in for the Resources.ie Group. It is a Health & Safety, Human Resources and Training Company. I work with 4 people. They are nice and helpful to me. Mostly I work with computers. I research on the internet and prepare marketing reports. I like this work because I have a lot of experience with these programmes in school and I did not have the opportunity to put this into practice.
In my free time I visit a lot of interesting places. I love the nature here. I like to see the sea in Cobh, the large ships coming here and lots of other things in this beautiful town!
It is a wonderful career opportunity to be here in Cobh. And it is also very good life experience. Thanks so much to the Leonardo da Vinci Programme in The Czech Republic for organizing for me to visit and work in this special town! Thank you also to my host family and host company!
