INFORMATION MEETING
Monday 19th July
Commodore Hotel, Cobh
7.30pm
We demand a Baseline Health Study and
Haulbowline made safe
We love Cork Harbour, so does Cancer
“The Government has refused to carry out a baseline health study in Cork Harbour, despite the discovery of a toxic waste dump adjacent to a town that has a 44% higher cancer rate than the national average” Irish Examiner 17th May 2010
“It was disclosed that a working group set up by the OPW had no remit to address remediation, contamination or containment at the site on Haulbowline Island.”
Cork Harbour Health Study pressure group was set up to show the Government that we cannot be ignored, that we care about our children’s health and we will not stop until we are granted an independent baseline health study and a total clean-up of Haulbowline Island.
Don’t Let Them Cover Up The Cover Up
We need you to support us and stand with us. It is public pressure that will force the Government to change its mind.
All MEPs, TDs, County and Town Councillors have been invited to the information meeting and we are being supported by Sean Kelly MEP, David Stanton TD and all Cobh Town Councillors.
All welcome to attend the meeting.
