The Springfield Ramblers Academy held their ‘Annual Fun Day’ at Cobh Ramblers’ ground, St.Colman’s Park on Saturday 19th June and couldn’t have asked for better weather. This event seems to be blessed with good weather conditions when held and this year was no different as temperatures soared into the high twenties. As usual the Academy put on a great show and the kids were put through their paces by the coaching staff followed by exhibition matches in which the kids were allowed to freely display their footballing skills. Bouncy Castles including a Penalty Shoot-Out and Sumo Suits along with Musical Entertainment made for a great day and the highlight for the kids was no doubt being presented with their medals in front of, and to the applause of the large crowd.
Springfield Ramblers Academy would like to thank most sincerely everyone who helped out with the funday, Derek Cocoran from Fanatics Sports who sponsored the medals, Ray & Maura Keating from Londis Newtown for the supply of goodie bags, Dave Histon and crew from Cobh Bouncing Castles (www.cobhbouncingcastles.ie) and to Mick Bardsley & Ned Donovan from Ramblers for all their help. A huge thank you also goes to all the Academy coaches for all their time and effort throughout the year.
See you all in September!
