Cllr John Mulvihill jnr has welcomed Cobh Town Council and Cork County Council’s swift action following his motion calling for a plan to be put in place distribution sites for grit to the public at Monday meeting of Cobh Town council
Grit will be available to on the Five Foot Way, Smalls Well, the council land at the end of Ballywiliam, and the council is also considering a site in the Ballynoe area. I have been informed that there will be a delivery of grit tomorrow to the above sites and the council has also informed me that they will monitor levels and top up levels where it is possible.
Cobh Town Council have also committed to setting up a sub committee to come up with a comprehensive plan for estates in the New Year.
