Internationally renowned pianist makes return visit to Fota House.

On Friday, 21 March at 8.00pm, Internationally renowned pianist, David Syme, makes a welcome return visit to Fota House.
Syme, an alumna of the famed Juilliard School of Music is a protégé of the late master Jorge Bolet. He has performed in 21 countries and now lives permanently at his home in West Cork.
His in-home recital series has garnered national acclaim and has been attended by Maureen O’Hara, Christy Moore and Neil Jordan as well as scores of enthusiastic followers who travel up to several hours to hear him play. David’s reputation grew when this series was profiled by Mary Kennedy on RTE’s Nationwide.
David has appeared in The Lincoln Centre and Carnegie Hall in New York and Kennedy Centre in Washington, D.C. He has also played at Wigmore Hall in London and major venues throughout Europe. He has played twice in the past year in the John Field Room of the National Concert Hall to critical acclaim, and has recorded over twenty CD’s with such orchestras as the Royal Philharmonic, the Vienna Symphony and the Czech National Symphony
.
His programme will consist of masterpieces of the piano by Chopin, Liszt and Beethoven, in addition to some Irish selections. As is customary at Fota House, complimentary wine will be served at the Interval.
