Remembrance Mass for

Lost Loved Ones to Suicide

Sunday 6th February 2011 at 1pm

St. Augustine Church, Washington Street, Cork City

EVERYBODY WELCOME

Organised by Breaking The Silence & SOSAD (Save Our Sons & Daughters)

Breaking The Silence works to help create a Suicide Safer Community by connecting the person at risk of Suicide with Life Preserving Resources.  For further details please email breakingthesilencecobh@gmail.com or find us on facebook www.facebook.com/btscobh SOSAD started these masses in Drogheda and today these masses will be taking place across the country on 6th Feb 2011

This concept was started initially by SOSAD (Save Our Sons & Daughters) in Drogheda and from the work they started and support received the 6th Feb 2011 will see these masses taking place across the country.  Breaking The Silence in conjunction with SOSAD and the St. Augustine Church are organising the Cork mass and it is hoped that it will be very well supported with attendees from across Cork City and County.  The mass will also be giving information to the Community on Suicide in terms of support available for those at risk, numbers to call etc.  We have received incredible support to date and Justice Michael Patwell will be amongst the contributors in addition to John McCarthy (writer with the Cork Independent) in additon to members of the Cork Senior GAA Team.  Members of the community from all parts of Cork who have lost loved ones to Suicide (friend, family member, partner, work colleague etc.) will be reading Prayers Of The Faithful and we are delighted that there will be a great cross representation across Cork in attendance.
