Today Fm’s Shave or Dye took place in Kelly’s Bar last Friday night. Raising much needed funds for The Irish Cancer Society ‘Monks Vs. Punks’ saw 6 local people being shaved and dyed for charity.
“It was a massive success,” said organiser Gavin Minihane, “with everyone who took part getting a complete make over by the girls from Eego Hair Salon.”
“I’d just like to thank Kelly’s for letting us use the bar and also for giving us a spot prize for the raffle and Supermac’s who gave us pizza to feed everyone in the pub.” Gavin continued. “We are delighted for the turn out on the night there was a great buzz and standing room only.”
The total amount raised will be announced at a later date. The punks who got their heads dyed on the night were Adrian Barry, Suzanne Morgan, Luke Broderick and Thomas O’Flaherty and the Monks who got their heads shaved were Stephen and Gavin Minihane.
