Single Point Killer For Pirates

Wednesday last saw the Junior 2nd side go down to a very strong UCC team in the final of the Junior 2 cup. This was a very close fought game and was decided literally on a bounce of the ball with Cobh loosing out by a single point.
On a postitive note the side bounced back on Sunday in the semi final of the Kelly Cup to overcome Carrigaline 34-20 in what was a close game until the closing stages where Cobhs discipline and fitness shone through. Gary Price had another fine outing in the pack with Mark Chandler orchestrating things from the out half position.
Saturday sees the team playing their last game of the season in the Paddock, when they take on the mighty Shannon in the semi final of the Munser Junior 2 league Cup, kick off 1.30pm.
With a final spot in the Kelly Cup secured a scalp like Shannon would be a memorable one for this young team.
