This Saturday eleven volunteers were out making Cobh a nicer place to live in, work in and visit. The Fota Road was cleaned of litter again. Unfortunately it is the weeds growing up to two feet tall that are now the eyesore here.
The road from the Bishop’s House to Hartnett’s Garage and down to the Marian Shrine was swept on both sides and eight large bags were filled! The steps from the Museum to the Railway station were also brushed clean.
On Tuesday night Tidy Towns volunteers will meet at the Old Church Cemetery at 6.30 pm to undertake maintenance there and to plant flowers at the Cow Cross. New volunteers are always welcome.
