Cobh Animation Team brought a very stylish look to the victorian Picnic in the Prom on Sunday afternoon. With the sun beating down, the streets of Cobh were once again busy with visitors and local families out enjoying another free family event organised by the dynamic See you in Cobh group.
Dressed in their most elegant outfits the Animation Team drew crowds from the streets to join them in the Promenade. Visiting Animation teams from Clonakilty and Tipperary Town, who have been inspired by the Cobh team on recent visits, joined the Cobh ladies in all their splendour.
Local singers Katie McGroarty and Tenor, Ryan Morgan along with the Cobh Confraternity Band entertained the crowds in glorious sunshine.
Local traders Truly Scrumptious and the Crepe Man supplied food for the picnic and games with a Victorian theme entertained the smaller visitors as well as a traditional carousel.
Claire Cullinane from the ‘See You in Cobh’ Group and part of the Animation Team said “The Town shone as the lady she is, in our Victorian Prom along with our Victorian ladies and guests from all over the world.”
