The annual Cobh District Soccer Blitz in association with local soccer clubs will take place on the 10th, 11th and 12th August at the Community College Field, Carrignafoy. The running order for the event this year will be as follows: U10, U14 Friday 10th Aug@1pm, U8,U12,U16 Saturday 11th Aug@11am and U18 Sunday 12th Aug@11am. Team forms are currently available from Cobh Garda Station or from any member of the organising committee. The blitz is open to both boys and girls. Individuals who do not have a team should turn up on the day and they will be allocated a team.
Players should bring footwear for both grass and astro turf in the event of poor weather conditions. The age group that you played in the season just gone (soccer leagues) qualifies you to play in the same age group for the blitz.
The rules of the blitz are on the team forms and should be read by all players and managers prior to the event. I would encourage as many parents as possible to attend over the weekend and support the children and also to ensure that they have adequate refreshments with them.
Looking forward to seeing you all there
