The third ever Australia Day in Cobh will celebrate the arrival of over 1500 Australians and 400 Kiwis on a World Cruise aboard the Sea Princess on Sunday 7th July. This cruise has already departed Sydney on a 104 night voyage and the previous visits of the Dawn Princess in 2009 and 2011 were thoroughly enjoyed by the passengers and locals alike.
Cobh Tourism and See You in Cobh are organising events for the day and people can expect to experience a taste of *”Down under” right here* in Cobh with everything from food, to musical entertainment and spectacular shop window displays.
We would like to invite the business community to once again use their imagination to produce fantastic shop window displays that will amuse the cruise passengers. The Band of 1 Southern Brigade will perform in the
Promenade but we also invite traditional Irish musicians and dancers to perform short acts. Anyone interested is asked to email cobhtourism@gmail.com or phone Hendrick Verwey on 087 2593850.
