This is the weather report from Scoil Iosaef Naofa for December 2016. The pupils of Mr. McSweeney’s 6th class recorded it. Paddy O’Donoghue & Lee Foley O’Flaherty recorded the rainfall and found that 71mm fell altogether during the month. The wettest day was the 13th, when we had a total of 14mm of rain.
we had 19 dry days altogether. The temperature was recorded by Cathal O’Riordan & Dylan Duggan and they found that it ranged from a low of 0 degrees on the night of the 1st to a high of 14 degrees Celsius which we had on the 7th. Odran Keating & Jae Kinsella recorded the wind and they found that the most common wind was from the South/West (9days). The strongest wind was a Force 8 on the Beaufort Scale, from the South/East, South & South/West, which we had on the 7th, 13th, 15th & 23rd of the month.
Christmas Day was a mild day with a temperature of 11 degrees Celsius and only 1mm of rain! Beimid ar ais an mhí seo chugainn. Slán go fóil.
