Cobh and country need change says Brendan Ogle
Karen Doyle is running in Cobh and is one of 16 members of trade union Unite contesting the forthcoming local elections. Most are members of the Unite in the Community Tom Stokes Branch, and all are campaigning on the basis of the ten Right2Change policy principles adopted in 2015 following widespread public consultation.
Brendan Ogle is Unite Senior Officer and a Right2Change coordinator. He said:
“Born out of the Right2Water movement, the Right2Change policy principles hold within them the ethos and direction for any progressive Government seeking to make Ireland a better country for everyone.
“From our Right2Water to our Right2Jobs & Decent Work, or our Right2Sustainable Environment, Unite members are campaigning on the issues that matter to local communities.
“Both Cobh and the country need change. Residents of Cobh can make a start on Friday by voting for Karen Doyle”, Brendan Ogle concluded.
