The Cobh & Harbour Chamber is concerned on two levels in regard to the current situation facing Cobh Hospital. One, that if there is not adequate funding available for Cobh Hospital jobs could be under threat. In addition to job losses companies supplying ancillary services would also be affected.
Secondly it is a very worrying time for patients and their families and the Chamber would urge the Board of Management to continue to have the categorisation of the hospital upgraded from its current status.
