Cllr John Mulvihill Snr, following strong representations on East Cork motorists behalf, has received the following up date.
Work Commenced last week on the N25, From Dunkettle to Little Island and on the N8, Lower Road. This work is due for completion by mid February, subject to weather restrictions and in particular low temperatures. This project is being carried out by Arkil.
On completion, it is proposed that John A Wood, will carry out the major resurfacing project from little island to the Lake roundabout in Middleton. While we are still awaiting the final programme from the contractor it is expected to take about 2-3 months.
Cllr Mulvihill has today called that the work be carried out in a fast a time scale as possible to ensure the situation that we faced over the past number of weeks in relation to the first phase from Dunkettle to Little island does not happen again.
