Spike Island Flag Raising
A ceremony will be held on Wednesday 11th July in the Promenade in Cobh to commemorate the first time that the Irish Tricolour was raised on Spike Island in 1938. The ceremonies will commence at 7.30pm with a Parade from Cobh Heritage Centre. The Flag will be raised as the bells of St.Colman’s Cathedral toll at 8.00pm.

COBH CARILLON RECITALS DURING JULY
15th – Adrian Gebruers, Cathedral Carillonneur 22nd – Treasa Edmonds, Student Carillonneur 29th – Olesya Rostovskaya, Russian Guest Carillonneur
Recitals take place on Sunday afternoons from 4.30 to 5.30 and are presented by the Cobh Carillon Committee. Guest recitals are grant aided by the Arts Council and the Cork County and Cobh Town Councils.
