It is with great pleasure that Fota House invite “Fifth String” back for another Summer’s Musical Evening on Friday, June 15th at 8.00 p.m.

A combination of Harp/Flute/Violin and Mezzo Soprano make up the Group, who are all musicians from Kildare. Their repertoire ranges from classical to contemporary/traditional and, as they say themselves, anything in between.   “Fifth String” will be joined by Cork Singer, Brian Flanagan.

In recent years “Fifth String” has had the pleasure of being invited to perform in such wonderful venues as Castletown House, Fota House, The Riverbank Theatre, Newbridge Silverware, The Moat Theatre, Bewleys Café Theatre and Inishboffin House Hotel.   They have supported such performers as Eimear Quin, Kila and the Dublin Gospel Choir.

In May 2011, they had the honour to be invited to perform at the Annual 1916 Commemorative Mass at Arbour Hill which was attended by President Mary McAleese and the Cabinet.

This promises to be a wonderful evening of music not to be missed.
