Quays Bar Hand Over €2400 Cheque To Cobh Hospital

The Quays Bar & Restaurant, Cobh, handed over a cheque for €2400 to Cobh Hospital last Friday 3rd Sept following a very successful ‘Ladies Night’ fundraising event held at the venue on Friday 27th August. Quays Bar owner Noel Owens told Cobh Edition that he was deleighted with the attendence on the night of the event and very very happy to be able to present a cheque for such a large sum to a well deserving cause such as Cobh Hospital. ‘I believe Cobh Hospital to be very important to this town and we all need to be doing our bit to ensure it’s future’ said Noel. ‘We would like to thank all those who sponsored and donated prizes for the event and made it the great success that it was. We look forward to our next one” he added.

Accepting the cheque on behalf of Cobh Hospital were Eileen Dorrity, Toddy Stafford and Una Ryan and speaking to us afterwards Toddy Stafford said, ‘This is a very welcome injection of funds and all at the Hospital appreciate it very much. We would echo Noel’s comment in expressing our thanks to all who donated and took part in the fundraiser”
