Two games last weekend and good results for both teams. Div 4 took on UCC and came out on top on a 1-0 scoreline. The dreadful weather conditions were not conducive to great hockey but both teams put in good performances with Cobh being on top in the first half. They made it 1-0 when Aoife Richardson took a quick free inside her own half and caught UCC off guard to take the ball to the circle and score a good goal. The second half saw UCC put pressure on Cobh and goalie Jessica Stack pulled off a great save towards the end of the game to keep it at 1-0.
Sunday saw Div 6 rravel to Dungarvan and here they fought hard to come away with a 0-0 draw. Both sides had some chances to win the game and both Mari Moynihan and Tara Mansworth played very well in defence.
Next week sees Div 6 in action against Catholic Institute in Midleton at 2.30pm on Sunday. Div 4 have no game.
