Why not let your child “kick” start 2011 with Great Island Taekwon-Do Tots.
After only opening in September 2010 Great Island Taekwon-Do is going from strength to strength. The club which is based in Great Island community centre caters for children of all ages.
Our Taekwon-Do Tots program involves children between the ages of 4 to 7 years olds we teach children core values such as discipline and respect. By starting at an early age, they will develop positive habits to last a lifetime. We believe in bringing out the best in your child and have designed our classes to be entertaining, informative and above all fun.
The syllabus involves fun and games with kicking and punching techniques coupled with discipline and an awareness of the world today. Children are taught life skills such as Stranger and Bully Awareness, Fire Safety, Water Hazards and Road Safety. We strive to instil Leadership & Teamwork Skills, Memory Skills, Fitness, Healthy Eating and Basic Self-Defence).
Our Taekwon-Do classes cater for children from the ages of 8 years onwards. These classes are based on personal safety, health and fitness injected with loads of fun.
Mr. Delea and Mr. MacDonagh are qualified ITF International Taekwon-Do Instructors. Both have completed the Irish Sports Council’s awareness course for coaching minors the Irish Sports Council’s children’s officer course and are qualified in basic first aid.
